The Courage to Embrace Change

Bare winter landscape
February is a month that always reminds me that life is cyclical. All of nature lives in cycles and humans are no different. We are not meant to live at a constant pace for our whole lives and when we try to we usually break down in some way. The rest of nature doesn't attempt to always live at a breakneck pace of frenzied productivity and constant movement so why should we? There is something to be learned from nature here.

Just like the bare trees in February, sometimes life stages don’t appear verdant, productive or life-filled but those bare trunks and branches are gathering strength from their winter rest everyday and in the right timing they will burst into a new stage of outward life and abundance!

So, rest, reconnect with those you love. Turn off the screens and use this beautiful time to make good food and catch up with people that you love and want in your life.

Write a real, full-length letter to someone who lives too far away to visit. These connections will enrich the next stage of your year and allow you to come to life.

There is something beautiful just around the corner- spring is coming and with it a sense of newness and wonder as we watch the world unfold into a riot of possibility.
